Peel force is defined as the average force required to separate a peel system. The [[Peel Force –Fracture Path Diagram|peel force – fracture path diagram]] recorded during the peel test ([[T-Peel Test|T-peel test]] or [[Fixed-arm Peel Test|fixed-arm peel test]]) (&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Fig. 1&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;) recorded during the peel test, the characteristic plateau of the peel curve that forms between 20 % and 80 % of the fracture path &amp;#039;&amp;#039;l&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;lt;sub&amp;gt;B&amp;lt;/sub&amp;gt; is used to determine the [[Measured Variable|measured variable]] peel force &amp;#039;&amp;#039;F&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;lt;sub&amp;gt;peel&amp;lt;/sub&amp;gt;, which is defined as the mean value of the forces occurring in this range.&lt;br /&gt;

For example, the peel force of the low-density polyethylene peel system blended with isotactic polybutene-1 ([[Plastics – Symbols and Abbreviated Terms|abbreviation]]: PE-LD/iPB-1) is significantly influenced by the composition of the [[Polymer Blend|polymer blend]]. As a result of the [[T-Peel Test|T-peel test]], &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Fig. 2&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; shows the peel force as a function of the iPB-1 content. The peel force decreases exponentially with increasing iPB-1 content. This dependence is used as the basis for the targeted adjustment of the PE-LD/iPB-1 peel system.&lt;br /&gt;
