Angle test specimens, strip-shaped or arc-shaped test specimens in accordance with ISO 34-1, and [[Trapezoidal Specimen|trapezoidal test specimens]] in accordance with DIN 53563 are used to determine the tear resistance of [[Elastomers|elastomers]] in [[Tear Test|tear tests]]. The angle specimens have a deep 90° notch, which causes a high notch effect (see: [[Notch Sensitivity|notch sensitivity]]) or stress concentration (see: [[Fracture Mechanics|fracture mechanics]]) and initiates the tear propagation process under tensile load.&lt;br /&gt;
